the challenge every man faces...the fight every man can win

From the television to the Internet, print media to videos, men are constantly faced with the assault of sensual images. It is impossible to avoid such temptations...but, thankfully, not impossible to rise above them.
Shattering the perception that men are unable to control their thought lives and roving eyes, Every Man's Battle shares the stories of dozens who have escaped the trap of sexual immorality and presents a practical, detailed plan for any man who desires sexual purity-perfect for men who have fallen in the past, those who want to remain strong today, and all who want to overcome temptation in the future.

Includes a special section for women, designed to help them understand and support the men they love.

  • A Betrayed Wife Further Betrayed by this Book

    By A Betrayed Wife
As a betrayed wife, I do NOT agree with all that is written in this book. The authors focus TOO much on the "sexual desires" of men as a motivation or explanation for their betrayals and infidelities and imply that if their wives would just recognize, understand, accept, and fulfill their "sexual desires" then their husbands would NOT be sexually impure and unfaithful to them. Some of the ideas and thoughts are reasonable and biblical, but overall they are VERY judgmental or "shaming" and "blaming" sounding. It focuses too much on the specific or actual sexual activities rather than on the MORE important and significant broken relationship trust and betrayal due to these activities. Most infidelities have been more than just men needing or wanting "sex" and that is why their actions and behaviors are so much more confusing, complicated, and painful to the betrayed spouses. Because NO matter what the betrayed wives did or did not do for their husbands or their "sexual wiring", this is NOT a pass or an excuse for infidelity or adultery, and the decision to cheat and betray their wives, in any specific manners, rests on them alone - they always have other choices and options.

  • Thank God for This Book

This book is very up front and in your face when it comes to sexual impurity. Some seem to think that it's graphic examples are unnecessary, but I found it encouraging. Bottom line...This is a great source of strength to assist you as you seek sexual purity as defined in God's Word!
  • Good Motive Wrong Application

    By Jamesbellamy
I have to say the end goal of this book is what every man should dedicate themselves to-living in sexual purity. However, it is my contention that these authors put way too much emphasis own man's own abilities and strength. Where is the grace of God through the death of Christ on the cross? Where is the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit, regenerating us in purity? Where is "Christ in me, the hope of glory"? I am certainly going finish this book, but I can't recommend at this time.

This book changed my life. It inspired me, convicted me, brought me hope, and it TAUGHT me how to begin living a life free of sexual impurity. It helped me to become more of the man that God had made me to be.

This book will challenge you. It is not a light read, make no mistake about it. If you are honest with yourself while you read, then it will hurt to read it at times.
