Description

USA TODAY BESTSELLER • Style and seduction collide as the world's best-dressed men and women shed their clothing . . . and their inhibitions. On the run from her abusive fiancé, ER doctor Mallory Bryant arrives at her sister's Connecticut resort desperate for a place to restore balance to her life. But Club Inferno is more than a haven for the rich and fashionable. Beneath its elegant facade, dominants and submissives play out their fantasies. At first, Mallory is wary of Max Spencer, the martial arts trainer acting as her bodyguard—until he introduces her to passion so intense she wants nothing more than to surrender to his touch. As one of Club Inferno's most skilled Doms, Max enjoys taking Mallory to the limits of pleasure. It's a dangerous proposition, and as their sensual games draw them into a relationship beyond the boundaries of pupil and master, Max starts spiraling out of control. But when Mallory's violent past catches up with her, Max knows what he must do: draw her closer than ever before, even if it means risking a surrender of his own.

The environment of a sex club where free for all, unemotional casual sex takes places at all times is an interesting backdrop for the romance that builds between Mallory and Max. Mallory's sister Colleen owns the club that is a fashion house on one side and a members only sex club on the other. Max is an instructor and Mallory is hiding from her abusive and drug addicted ex-finance. Mallory is fragile and scared and Max is her bodyguard but, it goes way beyond that in a short period of time. I like the characters of Couture. They are confident and self assured which, is the complete opposite of Mallory. She is not the hedonist her sister Colleen is so, she is out of her normal element and I really appreciated her attempts to let herself relax and enjoy what the club has to offer...in Max's arms only. Max is a sweetheart of a guy that knows how to pleasure a woman but, he is gentle and takes his time with Mallory. He has some of his own issues that he is trying to deal and Mallory's presence definitely helps him with his troubles. The other people who work at Couture are interesting in their own right and I look forward to reading about them in the series. Good story with a lot of sensual and emotional connections not just sex that you want to go beyond Mallory and Max's happily ever after. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
